- Rotate your rug at least once every 6 months for even wear (more often in high-traffic areas).
- Do not expose your rug to direct sunlight; use curtains and draperies where needed.
- Vacuum regularly using a gentle, low-suction setting only.
- Do not use rotating brush (beater) attachments, as they may cause significant damage.
- For storage/transport, roll up in a plastic sheet and use mothballs inside the roll while in storage.
- Do not use steam-cleaners.
- Do not dry clean.
- Spot clean stains and spills only—do not wash or wet the entire rug.
- Act immediately on liquid spills. Scoop up solids first if any.
- Blot with paper towel or a clean white cloth on both the surface and reverse side. Do not rub or wipe.
- Commercial carpet stain removers can be used, but avoid products with hydrogen peroxide, bleach, or whitening agents. Test first on throw-away fabrics.
- Mild dishwashing liquid can be used by dabbing with a sponge after blotting. Use suds only (don’t soak). Re-blot, then dab with plain warm water to remove residue. Re-blot to remove moisture and allow free air circulation to dry.
